About Me
Welcome to The Pit Walk, a pit walk unlike any other! I’m glad that there are people interested in the person behind this blog. There isn’t really much to know. But for those that must know, I am an aspiring designer with a very boring “day job” located in northern California. My interests are varied and beyond F1 I enjoy fashion design, fashion styling, fashion photography, fashion show production, textiles, graphic design, furniture design, shopping, trying to be a foodie, going to museums, painting/drawing (I also used to do a webcomic…), makeup, reading manga, and watching anime.
I initially started blogging in college, but I don’t do personal blogs anymore. In 2009 I decided that blogging about fashion would be fun and started stylemate, my fashion/style blog. I even took a course on Fashion Writing and Publicity! Due to the heavy saturation of the fashion blog world, I decided that I needed my blog to be “different.” I often play little games and do rankings whilst watching F1 and the idea for this blog was born in late 2009. Of course I consulted with nekoball who follows various F1 blogs/news sites. nekoball thought that the concept of a F1 fashion blog had potential to be popular and it was something that was not currently “done.” For more information about the concept of this blog, click the “why” tab.

Hi! Love your blog. I’m going to be a guest in the Mercedes Paddock in Germany this wknd, weather is forecast to POUR! Please help solve my sartorial dillemma and tell me WTF should I wear?!?! Thanks x
That sounds so fun!!! Generally speaking I think dressing in layers will be good and tall boots. I’m not really a fan of rain boots, but if you must you must. Personally I wear flat knee high patent leather boots on very rainy days… so I get the protection of the boots without wearing rainboots. I also like wearing dresses on rainy days because I hate the feeling of wet trousers. A nice scarf is also a must 🙂
You may email me at thepitwalk at gmail.com or find me on twitter if you want… Take some pics of your outfits. 🙂
Hey, do you know who makes the shirt Coulthard was wearing at the japanese GP? it looked like an architect shirt but with very small button down collar.
On Sunday? I’ll check it out for you…
Very good work on the blog – I somehow only discovered it today but have read all your 2011 posts. Top blogging! 🙂
Ps. Vitaly isn’t a serial killer, he’s a very nice man…
Thank you! Vitaly is one of those people that happens to look more intimidating and scary than he actually is. It’s pretty amusing that despite looking like a killer (when not smiling that is), he is a nice person 🙂
Could you please tell me were I can purchase shirts, like the ones that Eddie Jordan wears please. This man has incedible good taste with shirts, and are intrigued to see if I am able to buy them, off the internet on a website.
