I was struggling with the idea of posting photos of Paris Hilton in Monaco. Are there some lines and boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed? Paris is a very tacky girl after all. But I identified the dress she was wearing in the Renault garage. So what to do eh?
My solution: I won’t post a photo of Paris. It has been awhile since Monaco and many people have probably seen photos of her royal tackiness already. Instead I’ll post a photo of the dress. haha. Paris was seen wearing a silk shantung Roberto Cavalli dress. If you fancy it, it’s yours for just a little over $2,000 USD at net-a-porter.com and other fine retailers. But hurry, because size IT 38 and IT 40 have already sold out on net-a-porter. =p
It’s no secret. Anyone that knows me knows I’m an absolute plaid freak. I’ve made school projects harder than was necessary due to utilizing plaid fabrics (I want to be a plaid master). Argyle is nice too, it’s the next best thing to plaid for me. Oh and stripes as lovely as well.
But I digress. This paddock girl was seen in Monaco and I am only featuring her because of the plaid printed necklace on her shirt. Yep, that’s the only reason. I don’t think she’s “sexy” at all. So… I may choose to feature other paddock girls if they are wearing plaid, argyle, stripes, or cute graphic prints. I’m biased like that. 😛
This has got to be the funniest photo from Monaco. In fact, I even named it “lmao” for my files. HAHA. Where to start… there’s so much “good material” here. All right, tight body conscious grid girl uniforms are nothing new… but this girl’s uniform seems a bit too tight on her. Notice the weird crotch action going on? Some have even called it a case of severe “camel toe.” I won’t be so cruel… it’s simply crotch action for me. Sorry grid girl, not to be a betch, but it looks like you need to either exercise more, stop eating prior to wearing the uniform, or go up one size. Sad, but such is the life of a grid girl or model.
The grid girl also seems to be staring at her crotch in slight consternation. Or maybe she’s checking out her own chest? HAHA. Or maybe she’s trying to hit on the guy in the suit, “Oooh baby, check out my hott body!!!” I hope not? His wife appears to be right next to him in her silk chiffon tunic with Hermes Birkin in tow. Maybe the wife took off her sunglasses to examine this wardrobe malfunction in gross detail?
Who knows. All I know is that this picture was one of the funniest I’ve seen in awhile.
A couple of weeks ago I posted about Ferrari drivers posing like girls. The “girly pose” photo is actually in the Ferrari press room/media area. HAHAHA, it must be embarrassing for Alonso and Massa. Why have they photoshopped a CACTUS next to them? But that’s not the point of this post.
I have always thought that Italy and Italians were known for good design (e.g. fashion, furniture, etc)… but why does the Ferrari press room hurt my eyes so much? Why is there so much red and white (overkill!!!)? Why are the casings of the lights red? Is it really necessary to have alternating red AND white chairs AND stools? Just look at the “press wall” chock full of logos on the Ferrari Red background. It makes me dizzy almost. And let’s not forget the sickening amount of red in the team uniform worn by the staff and drivers. It’s bad enough just looking at this photo, I think my eyes would bleed in person. @_@
Poor Massa… maybe he’s not constipated after all. Maybe the years of Ferrari Red are making him dizzy too.
In contrast look at the minimalistic and clean Mercedes lounge. THANK YOU for being easy on the eyes.
Isabell Reis was also wearing a purple and white maxi dress in Monaco. I like the print of the textile, it has a very painterly feeling to it. However, I’m not so fond of the fuschia streaks that are kind of haphazardly placed in the print. Isabell also recycled the chunky bangle and added a stack of thin gold bangles which balance out the look. I’m not so fond of her small purse though since it is metallic (I’m not big on metallic leather goods) and it looks like a purse for a child due to the tiny size.
As a side note, Isabell’s hair looks nice here, it looks like it has been flatironed into wispy submission.
I’m debating whether or not to post photos of Paris Hilton or not. She’s so tacky and gross… but I identified one of the dresses she was wearing. Decisions.. decisions!
Michelle Yeoh looked like a part of the jet set crowd with her white eyelet lace dress, sunglasses, and straw hat. Michelle’s shoes are kind of weird… they appear to be some type of heeled/platform flip flops?
However, she looks kind of frumpy at the same time. I think it’s the volume at the waistline, maybe it would have been better with a belt. It’s possible that this dress looked a lot cuter in person. Many times what looks good in person, may not translate well on camera and film. I think most celebrities forget about dressing for the camera and that’s why they end up on these “worst dressed” lists. Of course, people are free to wear whatever they want. It’s just that what you like vs. what looks good on camera vs. your best colors may not be the same things.
P.S. Am I the only one who was staring at her knee cap? What’s wrong… does this happen when you get old? 😦
I thought the above photo was a rather “glamorous” photo of Sutil looking a bit model-esque. Imagine what I was thinking when I saw the following photo in my Google Reader feed:
Doesn’t Baptiste Giabiconi remind you of ADRIAN SUTIL? OK, maybe it’s just his hair that makes me think of Sutil. Wouldn’t all the driver photos in front of the fancy yachts and water look so much better shot like this fashion photo? I THINK SO. All right, I’m not really a fan of what Baptiste is wearing… but this would be the general concept in terms of lighting and such. It’s much more dramatic and appealing to me. The drivers currently look like “fake tourists” during their first visit to Monaco. ~_~;;;
Bernie … hire me to do the publicity, I have a lot of “weird ideas.” =P
