Nico is #2…?
Ever since I knew about the Hamilton-Rosberg pairing at Mercedes I had been hailing it as the best looking team in F1. As a result, I was extremely pleased when Simon Lazenby made a similar announcement on Sky Sports’ F1 coverage awhile back. Unfortunately I can’t remember exactly which race that was… as my brain is a mush at the moment. I was even conceited enough to think that perhaps he had drawn this “inspirational” comment from somewhere (you know… like this blog). LOL. Indeed, how conceited of me. Apparently Lazenby got this idea from his wife… and well, I do have to say it isn’t an overly original idea. Although I have been saying this ever since last year… so at least I was first? LOL.
Anyhoo, Nico is indeed #2 Top Model at Mercedes. I will admit that I have a Lewis bias, but I think it is quite fair to say that Lewis is far more photogenic.
But perhaps you Nico fans out there think otherwise? If that’s the case, do find an unflattering photo of Lewis for me to laugh at. Drop me a line via twitter @thepitwalk or in the comments.
P.S. Less rubbish posts to follow
What to Wear : The Rosberg Edition Part I
Nico Rosberg had the honor of signing the golden book at his hometown, Wiesbaden, as reported by his webteam.
What does one wear on such an occasion? Let Nico Rosberg show us how it’s done. I present to you, Fashion Tips by Nico:
Be sure to click the image to enlarge, I even used Helvetica for extra emphasis~
I apologize for the bad grammar in Point #1… maybe when I get unlazy I’ll fix it. =X
Which of Nico’s top fashion tips will you gentlemen be following? For the ladies, which ones will you ahem… “recommend” to the men you know?
Frankly Nico’s look seems to be awe inspiring to the children of his hometown. Check out this Nico-otaku:

It’s not easy being pretty boy Rosberg
From being a Leonardo di Caprio lookalike to being called Britney… it’s not easy being Nico Rosberg. And if you think his tousled “carefree” hairstyle is natural, please think again. I’m sure Rosberg styles it quite intentionally:
After all, photographers are always snapping pictures, and it’s important to be camera ready at all times:

Happy Birthday Leo…
err… Nico. Since @FakeVivian asked to use the drawing I did last year for a blog entry, I thought I’d step it up and draw a new one. :p
So here it is… it’s a different style compared to last year’s SD-type:
Not quite accurate and I had to restrain myself from getting too into the eyes and lips. It’d be all too easy to make poor Nico look more like Britney than a man.
Anyhoo I finished this just in time for Nico’s birthday… even in Europe!
Disclaimer: These type of drawings may give the impression that Rosberg is my favorite driver. This is not the case… I just haven’t attempted to draw many other drivers. =p
Wolfman Enters the Unbuttoned Shirt Club
Wolfman has decided to join the the Unbuttoned Shirt Club (U.S.C). The difference between him and teammate Buemi is clear, isn’t it? The U.S.C is currently headed by founding member John Button and its first young driver member was dear Nico Rosberg. Upon closer examination, it appears that Wolfman has also unbuttoned the lower buttons of his shirt. So how many buttons has he done up? About three perhaps. Interesting! We’ll have to keep an eye out for Wolfman… Rosberg it looks like you’re not alone in the U.S.C. Let’s all welcome the second young driver to the club, shall we?
Malaysian GP Grid Position Winners and Losers
So… what is the grid position “winners and losers”? I have alluded to the little game I play whilst watching a F1 race a few times on the blog. I’m pretty sure it is well understood. But for those who haven’t read those posts, a pictorial explanation is much easier (and funnier). Those that follow me on twitter may recall a rather bold statement where I claimed I would revolutionize the way my followers watch F1. So let’s get to it, eh?
The grid positions for each race is always divided up in groups of four. While they flash by on the screen, simply pick a “winner” and “loser” from each grouping. The sole factor for defining the “winner” and “loser” is the DRIVER PHOTO. This is a looks and photogenicity contest! Now, sometimes this is rather hard to decide because there may be more than one unattractive photo! Remember to play with your friends, it’s more fun that way.
Without further ado, here are the Winners and Losers of the Malaysian GP:

Winner: Hamilton
Loser: Button

Winner: Alguersari
Loser: Barichello

Winner: Kovalainen
Loser: Trulli

Winner: Glock
Loser: Karthikeyan
Wasn’t that fun? Will you be playing this game next week for the Shanghai Grand Prix? Do tell…
P.S. I do need a better jester icon. Hopefully by Shanghai I will do a better job of this.
